Hey, It's Okay Tuesdays

It's Tuesday and damned if it's not okay!

I'm pretty sure Amber will back me up on this.

Hey, it's okay...

...if, when you go to go to your yearly lady appointment, you snort when the nurse practitioner says, "You may feel some slight discomfort."

...if, on the way to your yearly lady appointment, you slightly rear-end the car in front of you while trying to parallel park.

...to almost run over a student when backing up after rear-ending the car in front of you while trying to parallel park.

...to have the dreidel song stuck in your head, even though it is way too soon to be thinking about Hanukkah.  Especially if you're not even Jewish.

...if you pray to the gods of jelly (somebody please get that reference) that your car gets fixed and your financial aid comes through just in time for you to hop in the car and drive down to Florida to see Lisa, pop culture goddess and barista extraordinaire.

...to resent when the temperature pops back up to 67 degrees because you had already made your peace with cooler temperatures and damn it, you want to wear sweaters and scarves!

...to be truly disgusted with Kelloggs for creating the pumpkin pie flavored Pop-Tart and then only making it available at select stores across the US.  Pop-Tart bastards.

...to know that while you have plenty of work assigned by your GA boss that needs to be finished tonight, you're probably going to watch another season of Weeds first.

I love these points. A lot. A lot, a lot.

PS. 67 is still a cooler day here in Ca, or at least in Sac-town CA.

I want to have my car heater on dammit!!

The only thing I got out of that was pumpkin pie flavored pop tarts. They better have them at my store or Kelloggs will be getting nasty letters from me.

Pumpkin pie Pop Tarts??? Why wouldn't they be available for everyone? That is discrimination. Somebody get my lawyer on the phone because I was in the Pop Tart aisle at my local Kroger yesterday and we didn't have any.

I was so excited for cooler weather, and I am mad it ran away.

Ya know, I may not have been blogging on my own blog, per se, but I've certainly been blog stalking everyone else ;)
My problem with the dreidel song is that I don't know the words, but the tune gets stuck in my head. For some reason, the lyrics have turned into "dreidel dreidel, fas-ter than light-ning" ....??

I know it sounds silly, but unseasonably warm weather can really irritate me, too. When it's 80 in October, something about eating pumpkin just feels wrong. And it should definitely be time for scarves!

The yearly lady appointment can definitely cause all sorts of car-related mishaps. Because we all know the "slight discomfort" is a lie. For serious, the least they could do is buy you a drink first like everyone else has to!

Man, it sounds like the yearly lady visit almost did you in!

And what the hell with those stupid pop-tarts??? I haven't seen them ANYWHERE. Freaking teases, that's what they are!

I think everything you mentioned is okay, as long as you think it's okay for me not to park close to you. ;)

YEAY! i was really hoping today would be okay!

i agree that lady appointments can make you feel all out of sorts anticipating "a little pressure" that is so sure to come. they should go ahead and tell you "this is gonna hurt like a mother" so you don't have to put your big girl face on and try not to seem like a wuss.

I love Weeds like it's going out of style. Those people are insane in a way that always makes me feel better.

Don't you miss when Dane Cook was still awesome and funny and not everywhere and annoying?

So, is "slightly rear-ending" a car the official auto insurance term?

I have been searching and searching for those pumpkin pop tarts and I can't find them! I thought Target was a source. Alas, they have nothing.

Looked all over last night for the damned pumpkin pop tarts and couldn't find em.
The weather is flat pissin' me off lately. Just when I embrace the cold...it pops up to hot. Heater, A/C, heater, A/C, all in one day. Ridic.

Thank goodness Sam got that reference. I can't comment at work but I saw like 11 people had commented and hadn't caught the Dane Cook reference!

I'm totally with you on the sweaters/scarves thing. Once I mentally shift to fall/winter clothes, heaven help us if it starts to feel like summer again!

Shame on Kelloggs!!

And I can't parallel park to save my life. I need one of those cars that does it for you.

so you're saying a pop in your tart isn't a good thing before a ground melon flavored piece of cardboard after confirming your female driving abilities?

seems to me it was the best part of the day.

wanna guest blog sometime this week?
the theme is "celebrating other's successes".
you're successful at making me laugh.
i'd love for you to come up with a formula on how you do this.

1. Totally know what you mean about the dreidel song. What is it about that song that makes it just pop into your head?

2. I looooove the title of pop culture goddess and barista extraordinaire!!! I might make business cards introducing me as such.

I cannot even bring myself to begin the Pumpkin Pie PopTart search. I JUST today found my beloved Pumpkin Spice creamer and it's not even freaking October anymore. NOW it's time for Peppermint Mocha and that's what I've been drinking instead. My stomach has been thinking it's Christmas for over a month now. This is just setting me up for failure.

And when I left for Ft. Lee, I was promised the Confederacy and warm temperatures. It has been raining for 2 days, although they did just launch a cannon with the 5 PM bugles...so I guess one out of two isn't so bad. I hope you're back to scarves and sleeves.
