Hey, It's Okay Tuesdays

I like to do this every now and then for a couple reasons:

1) It makes me feel better about myself.

2) Amber at Airing My Dirty Laundry... does it and I think she's swell.

3) I'm having trouble making coherent sentences, so the shorter the better.

Hey, it's okay...

...if you were out in the sun for 7 hours last Sunday and now your pasty ass is burned to shit.

...if it took 10 whole minutes and two friends to help you find your car in a parking lot.  Again.

...to be super excited your mama is coming to visit so you can show her everything you hate about your current town of residence.

...if your car went from making an endearing, high-pitched whine to a gut-wrenching, bowel moving grinding noise.

...to eat an enchilada for breakfast and a burrito for dinner.

...if you could actually feel your brain leaking out of your ears while you watched The Bounty Hunter.

...if your friend Consuela was kind enough to loan you her car while yours is in the shop... and then you promptly left her car keys on the 3rd floor of the T-comm building.

...to wish Cheesy Blasters were a real thing.

Ha! My car is also making a "gut-wrenching, bowel moving grinding noise." (Yeah, I really need to get that looked at one of these days.)

I run into that problem with my car a lot nowadays. It's so short that I can't see it most of the time.

I am CRAVING Mexican food now. Thankyouverymuch.

If you had mexican food for breakfast and dinner in the same day...are you sure it was your car making the bowel moving noise??

I don't really think it's okay to have car problems . . . :/

Also, reading about your sunburn made me think about what I hate most about sunburns: People asking, "Didn't you use sunscreen?" with that menacing tone. Of course I use sunscreen! But I'm white. I'm a really, really pale, white person. (And sometimes I DON'T use sunscreen for an hour, so that I can desperately try to get just a teensy bit of color. So that "those" people quit making a big deal about my skin color.)

Hm.

Love the it's ok's for this tuesday :)
I feel your pain on the Bounty Hunter one, watched it last night. ugh. And I normally really like both of them in movies.

I had fried rice for breakfast--and it wasn't leftovers either. I actually woke up and whipped up a big batch of the stuff. It had shrimp, bacon, eggs, chicken, and veggies in it. It should have thrown a bit of cupcake in there just to make sure dessert didn't feel left out.

Car problems? Yup. My "Pretty Fine Lady" (her given name) started sounding crackly on Sunday. It sounds like something important is about to fall out of her. Poor girl.

I hope you car gets better. Enjoy your Mom's visit. Eat another burrito for me.

Thanks, Meat Cat!

You crack me up! You want your mom to come over so you can complain!

That car noise reminds me of what I hear when I start my car and it's already running!

I'm guessing that you don't need to make a blogging disclosure about the paid review of The Bounty Hunter, huh?

(Freudian typo: "The Bounty Hunger" was what I typed three times in a row)

i love it's okay tuesday because it makes me feel better too. if it is okay for you to have mexican for two out of three meals of the day, it is ok for me to have pizza for three meals in one day. yay!

wait...some might view beginning and ending your day with mexican food a bad thing?? sad sad little people. and i was late for work one time when i was in college because i lost my car in the parking garage on campus. i think my boss thought i was making it up as a lame excuse, but sadly i wasn't. he was especially unimpressed when it happened a second time.....and a third. wonder why i didn't use him as a referral for later jobs?

I can't even count the number of times I have lose cars (mine or others) in parking lots. Though it's generally worse when it's someone else's that I was borrowing, because then I have the lovely experience of walking past it three times without recognizing it before remembering to just push the little unlock button and go the car that makes noise.

(I'm a smart cookie.)

While it's OK to have a friend named Consuela who loaned you her car, I'm not so sure it's OK to have a friend named Consuela. Unless you've got Just Jack, too.

my mom is in town and i have LOVED showing her all of the things i hate about living in california. today the theme has been "hating california because it's supposed to be nice and sunny but it's always cloudy and windy."

I met my now-best friend in college when we were assigned as roommates. I didn't have a car, but she had a really nice Mustang, that about 2 weeks after I met her, she let me borrow while she was at work. Nice friend that I am, I thought I'd stop in and see her while I was running my errands. And, I locked the keys in the car. I have never done that before, or since. But, it's truly a testament to her strength of character that we are still friends.

I feel your pain.

I have spent the entire summer in the sun, and no matter how much sunscreen I put on I still get burned. So I just bought a very large hat.

Uh oh...sorry about the car trouble. Though you losing a car in a parking lot does not bode well for your future. You will get older and only more forgetful.

Damn.

I love Mimi's comment. Per usual.

And Mexican is acceptable 24 hours a day. Keep making me proud.

I totally know what you mean about your brain leaking out when you watched Bounty Hunter! I just kept feeling stupider and more lost as the movie went on. I was glad I watched it with a friend because she kept me up to date with what was going on :)
