Who's got two thumbs, speaks limited French and is 25 today? This moi!

That's right, punks.  It really happened.

From now on, when you're describing me to your friends, you'll say, "You know, Sara.  Brown hair, short, mid-twenties, really hates mayonnaise?"  And the other person will say, "Oh, right!  Yeah, she really does hate mayo..."

That's right.  I do.

And yes, today I turned 25 years old.

In response to this madness, I have decided that this will be my year.

Mind you, I'm not quite sure what that means just yet, but I've decided to own it nonetheless.  Allow me to show you my life's progression:
  • 22 years old - graduated college
  • 23 years old - moved to China, the Netherlands, and back to Indiana
  • 24 years old - started grad school and bought a car
  • 25 years old - graduate early, marry a lumberjack and adopt a family of hedgehogs
Seems logical, right?

Now, I know this isn't really going to happen.  Early graduation?  Pfft, come on!  Not only will I not graduate early, but I'm pretty sure I will never graduate.  In fact, it's possible that I died a long time ago and it turns out that Boone is my own personal Hell.  Hard to say.

Anyway, I think good things should happen to me this year.  As Christina has taught me, I am far too pretty for a lot of the junk that happened during the 24s.  And damned if that girl isn't right!

I feel like it's okay if 26 blows furry monkey nuggets as long as 25 gives me something I can work with.

I think this little snippet from Scrubs best depicts how I feel about turning 25:

JD: Time to take the G-R off my gratitude and give that old bastard some attitude, JD style!
Carla: His office is that way.
JD: I know, I have to go throw up first.

That's so morbid, but the idea that you may have not been aware of your own death and that Boone is hell is SO funny...

Oh 25 was a good year...I got engaged. Again. I graduated from college (bachelor's because I like to make it last as long as possible), and I got a job where I didn't have to work weekends. You're all over this and 25 is going to ROCK SOCKS (if maybe not hedgehogs). Happy Birthday, Girl!

Happy Birthday! I think this is the last year we're technically supposed to admit our age, right? After 25 I think as women(that's a joke, ha) we're only aloud to say 20-something, 30-something, 40 some... oh who am I kidding? I'll never be 40! Aging is for sissies!

Okay. Good plan. But watch out for those lumberjacks. There's only so much flannel a man can wear before it affects his brain.

Happy birthday.

25 is good. You're young without being too teen, and not old enough to be fearing grey hair and sunken girly parts.

Guess what I'm saying is Happy Birthday. Wish I could be there to buy you a mayo-free cupcake.

happy belated b-day. what are you in grad school for? I thought about it, and then realized it would suck. I also spent time abroad (germany), do you ever still want to live abroad or are you happy here?
I'm always impressed when people have more than 100 followers. I dream of the day. I just hit 20 myself, and am as proud of it as if I were a 24 year old who just hit her quarter century mark.

Happy Late Birthday! Is it weird that I'm proud of myself for totally getting your 30 Rock reference?

Cassandra,

I love that you got the 30 Rock reference. And because I have an obsession, they won't stop there!
