That smells like pure gasoline.

A few days ago, I took a dog, similar to the one below, to the humane society.

While very sweet, she was clearly dumber than a box of rocks.

For an hour, I watched her repeatedly dart in front of cars and stop in the middle of the road to lick herself (though not necessarily in that order).

Knowing I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I saw her flattened on the side of the road, I loaded her into my car and hauled her in.

On the way to the shelter, she launched a truly pungent air biscuit in my car.

I like to think she was just trying to thank me.

We have a Boston Terrier so I know whereof I speak, plus I have a blog, so trust me; I'm smart.

BTs fart when the worms they are carrying have produced a large number of eggs and/or when they are overrun with fleas.
Females will often lick themselves incessantly when they've got a raging infection in their doggy hoo-ha.

Oh goodness. At least you were able to save her! I always hate seeing dogs running loose on the roads!

I saw your comment on SITs and had to laugh and stop by!

Good luck on the dog front! Ours indulges in such chemical warfare (well, technically biological, but...) to get our attention too

LMAO!!! That is too funny but I have to say, what a sweet soul you are for doing that (animal lover here!!). I too have picked up animals because I was afraid of their safety running around out there. Kiddos to you!!

My kids and I just watched a show about these dogs and their gas issues. Funny! Good for you for saving that puppy! ;0)

My grandson would have a good laugh at that... he loves anything to do with 'air biscuits' which is a term I have never heard before. We call it something else in the UK.

Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!

You done a good thing :)
