Too early for flapjacks?

Well, I was pretty close to awesome yesterday. The only snacks I had were carefully measured amounts of almonds and bowls of Special K Red Berries. My lunch and dinner were both smaller portions and the only beverages I had yesterday involved water and tea.

Needless to say... I was starving. However, I was quite proud of myself. Never mind the fact that I woke up thinking about bacon, and I'm pretty sure I even said it out loud at some point. I kicked butt yesterday.

This morning was a different story.

My dad popped his head in around 10am and announced that my pancakes were getting cold. This is not an unusual occurrence, so as if on automatic, I popped right out of bed, grabbed my coffee and sat down to my pancakes. Only then did I remember.

The pancakes were bittersweet. While being delicious, they tasted like a step back. At least they had blueberries in them and I did use a low calorie syrup... so it's only like a half-step back, right? RIGHT???

For most people, this would mean just an extra half hour at the gym or another lap around the track. Sadly, I don't have a job (ergo, no gym membership) and the wind chill is about 30 below right now, so I don't really see that happening either. (Remember when I used "ergo" a sentence back? That was funny.)

For me, this means a Lean Cuisine for lunch. Ugh, I'm not sure it was worth it.
