Your Bingle is showing.

I took a wee vacation last week to visit my dear redhead, Lisa Diane, as well as her very large extended family.

Her nieces and nephews are about the only children I really like... and thank God for that.

Dance party to G. Love and Special Sauce.

Cuter than a bug's ear.

These monkeys can can climb.

I felt like I really invaded Leah's privacy with this photo.

Grown-ups like the playground, too.

I think Emma was more interested in her shoes than the fire truck.

No, your eyes do not deceive you. That, my friends, is a big ass peach.

I think this speaks for itself.

We found those red velvet, Twinkie-like treats in Boone, my future hometown.

I mean, does it get any better??

Kids ask way too many questions

Conversation that took place at Children of Eden rehearsal last night:

9 year old girl: How old are you?
Sara: In real life?
9 year old girl: Uh, yeah.
Sara: 24.
9 year old girl: That's pretty young.
Sara: Yes, it is.
9 year old girl: Do you have a boyfriend?
Sara: Nope.
9 year old girl: (heavy sigh) You really should stop dragging your feet because one day you'll wake up and realize you're 40 years old with no husband, no children and no life. Is that what you want?

Okay, that's not really what she said. Actually, she just stared at me for a minute and then said, "Okay." It seems like an innocent response, but I still see those beady, judgmental little eyes in my nightmares...
