This time last year, I was living in the Netherlands as an au pair and hating my life.
The year before, I was in Denver, getting a certificate to teach English abroad and planning a move to Poland (never happened).
The year before that, I was in my senior year of undergrad at Indiana and trying to convince my parents to let me switch majors from music to religious studies.
Now, I'm in North Carolina, in grad school for marriage and family therapy.
I'm pretty sure that this time next year, I'll be living on a commune in Duluth, hugging raccoons and harvesting the last of my swiss chard so I can sell it at the local farmers' market and have enough money to finish weaving my hemp wedding dress when I get married to my fiance, Wingspan.
It could happen.

This year i am in iraq... possibly about to be discharged for being a flamin' homo, etc.
(The plan for next year: Be living with my boyfriend Tyler, and joining the fight for equal rights...

this post made me love you a little bit more. we are more alike than i thought. and i thought we were twins separated at birth. as the photographer with a master's in counseling and a resume as diverse as the jack in a box menu- i say good for you.

PS. A hemp-bamboo dress would be a modern hippy wedding dress. (Or bamboo clothes are made more for like pajamas?)

2007: Dubai, making bank and living like it
2006: Kentucky, learned how to say y'all and decided to never say it
2005: Virginia finishing vet school, ah so sweet
Next year? Hopefully looking at my fully furnished apartment with a shit-free dog by my side. And maybe a fiance named Fitz, cause why not?
