Hypothermia + unemployment = baked goods

Today, I could not get warm. So, I did something a little strange.

I... baked.

Now, it's not that this is any sort of heinous act. Far from it. I respect those who bake tremendously. However, I am the person who appreciates the final product, not the person who makes said final product.

Seriously, ask anyone.

Granted, what I made was hardly difficult or fancy, but it was still out of the ordinary.

Normally if I'm bored or cold, I just wrap up in a blanket and change the channel or dye my hair and then go to Chick-Fil-A.

On this special day, I chose a delightful looking recipe from a very fine blog to which I (now) subscribe regularly thanks to the suggestion from my redheaded chinchilla friend, Lisa. If you are so inclined:

So, I put on my 9th grade Home Ec apron (I got an A on that bad boy, thank you very much) and got to work.

I would just like to say that after slaving and toiling for like... 10 minutes, I slapped that chimichanga in the oven and prepared myself for a dazzling success.

And now, I give you... my creation!

Okay so it's not wicked pretty, but it was totally edible and that's a big step for me. The best part of all of this was when I yanked it out of the oven and then stood in front of the oven with the door open for a good 5 minutes. It was delightful.

And yes, those are limes on my apron. Take it all in.
