Botany blunders

Carnations are foul.

As far as I'm concerned, they are vile weeds. The only purpose the carnation serves is to be used for comparison when trying to explain a pretty flower. Let me show you what I mean.

Ugly carnations

Pretty plumeria

Still confused? We'll do another.

Cheap and tacky

Classy and elegant

Still having trouble? Okay, we'll do one more.

If I were going on a date and was met at the door with these flowers...

...this feller would probably get a second date....

...while this feller would probably get a phone number with six digits.

I concur, completely. I am not picky about flowers, or even about when I should get them, but I do not favor carnations as a rule. They always used those flowers in high school for Valentine's Day (you know, you could buy them and have them delivered to people in class) and not only would I be embarrased to get one, but then I'd be like, "Great, now I have to carry this gross flower around all day."
