Sounds like good ruffage to me!

As another Thanksgiving Day comes to a close, we take stock of what is important to us. We reevaluate our priorities, we renew relationships with family members and we, of course, yell at the quarterback for not scrambling in the pocket.

Even though my parents' team, the sainted Indianapolis Colts, do not play on Thanksgiving, they still like to watch a game or two and cheer on (degrade) somebody into victory. This is usually whoever is playing the evil Dallas Cowboys.

The yelling will continue until somebody (my dad) falls asleep on the couch, somebody else starts looking at their Blackberry (my mom) and somebody else grabs another slice of pie and starts watching the MASH marathon on TVLand (that might be me).

Tomorrow, of course, is Black Friday. I do not participate in such madness as I don't like to get up early and I don't really like to shop, so I damn well won't be putting those two activities together. That would be similar to getting a pelvic exam and a root canal at the same time. It's just not done.

The only problem is that I tend to make a daily, routine trip to SuperTarget. I don't do it because I actively need anything. I do it because I miss it when I'm not there. And when I can't visit, I suddenly find all the reasons that I must go. Waterproof mascara! Vitamins with 20% more calcium! $5 DVDs! Pillow shams! Tomorrow, I will need it all...

...unless, by chance, I remember to scramble in the pocket.

Welcome back. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. We'll have to hang out sometime soon (and by soon I probably mean after school is done in a couple weeks, because my procrastination is catching up with me quickly).
